Smart Meters Leave Homeowners in WORSE shape…

More American families nowadays have VERY little, if ANY funds in savings. With energy rates rising, it is a great idea to look for ways to save electricity on your home. Because every penny saved is extra you didn't have before. But aside from saving energy, is your home protected when disaster strikes? Let's say you come home from work and you go to your refrigerator to start preparing dinner only to discover all your week's groceries are spoiled because the fridge quit working. With all your groceries inside spoiled, plus an easily $1-2K expense of a new fridge, would you be prepared? Worse yet, it wasn't really your fault! It was all from a nasty power surge. But good luck proving that and getting your power provider to reimburse you. You would be surprised to know that the new "Smart" meters actually are less equipped to protect your home from power surges NOT MORE. No one likes to pay outrageous electricity bills, but losing appliances unexpected also just plain out sucks! Am I right? So how do you go about lowering electricity bills & protecting your property from power surges & spikes? Kilowatt 1st you must assess what affects your property the most i.e. what makes your bill so high to begin with? Electrical equipment in your house can be very inefficient and some energy hogs are responsible for 50% of your high energy bills. Your energy provider is not concerned with the inefficiency of your equipment, and ruthlessly bills you for the wasted energy. Why do I take this position. It is because they are using technology on their power grid to make it more efficient and increase their profit margins. BUT the power provider doesn't take the initiative to help their customers actually use less energy. Sure they have their nice little PR campaigns about switching out light bulbs (which is only 5-10% of your bills so it really won't even make a dent.) Why? It's like asking your local grocery store owner to show you how to buy less groceries. It is NOT in their best interest to do so.

Why would your power company spend millions of dollars just so their customers could purchase less from them and put them out of business?

I know it's not moral or ethical, but this is happening around us every day. Robber sues homeowner for breaking into her house! Commercials on TV stating, this medication will help you lose weight, and then the rest of the commercial is about all the horrible side effects you may see from taking medication. It is up to us as the end user, to look at all the information and seek alternative arguments. It is up to us to make our own judgements based on our own specific situation we are going through in our lives. Thus I digress, back to my position on your power company. Why would they put themselves in a position to cut their profit margins? So, what do you do? The first step is to educate yourself on what's impacting your power bills. Researching the internet is an excellent way to do your due diligence. The below infographic gives you an idea on how to get started on the basics.   But notice, the above image is just a brief overview of basic things to do in your home. If you really want to tackle the big energy hogs in your home, look to your large motor driven appliances such as your Central A/C, Heat Pump system, Swimming Pool Pump Motors & large appliances (like washer/dryers/refrigerators/freezers/etc). This is what REALLY costs you on your power bill. Instead of going out and purchasing all top of the line energy efficient equipment, what if there was a way to make them more energy efficient without spending thousands of dollars? That is rarely discussed. But it is possible. The Electric Saver 1200 is a box that helps motor driven appliances in your home or business be more energy efficient by recycling wasted energy. Whether you purchase an old refrigerator or a new one, the only way your power company knows how much energy to bill you for is by what the appliance actual uses. By installing this little box on your property, you can make the motors in your home operate MUCH more efficiently so that YOU aren't billed an arm and a leg just for washing clothes and running your A/C. hot sweaty no a/c working But, why stop there? Have you ever come home from a hard day at work and realized the new TV you just bought for Christmas isn't working? And then you go into the kitchen to grab a cold drink and the fridge is out too... along with all your groceries for the week spoiling? That smell, ugh! I know I am not alone on this one when I say- It sucks! You do a little more digging and it turns out, your home had a power surge while you were slaving away at work. Can you call the power company and demand they replace your TV and refrigerator? Good luck with that. Most likely they will say you should've had surge protection equipment on your home to protect yourself. Well that doesn't help you deal with the situation right now does it?!? The Electric Saver 1200 not only helps make your home more energy efficient, but also protects your property against power surges or spikes. no refrigerator- power surges   So, my message to you is: DON'T BE THAT GUY! ^^^^^ Take action right now. Even if you don't care about saving energy, protecting your home against power surges and avoiding having to replace a week's worth of groceries and a refrigerator will be well worth it. BE THIS GUY! These Guys Suck & Many of Us KNOW THEM! :(

These Guys Suck: People who just don't understand the cost of things. They regularly leave the lights on, stand in front of the refrigerator trying to decide what to eat/drink, or wash only 1 or 2 things in the washing machine/dryer? Do you have an energy hog in your home or business? You are not alone.  Many of us know at least 1 of these people or worse have them living with us. NEED BACKUP? This post was written just for you. Energy prices are at a high. Although incomes are not correspondingly high, motivating these types of people, in the matter of saving energy, proves difficult. Especially those who do not understand or consider the meager savings worthwhile. Fight back. You will see MORE than just meager results below... REVOLUTIONIZE & EDUCATE light bulb cost per kwhIt's time to motivate energy wasters to save energy in their own interests, in their community's interests and for the planet. The impression that "every dollar saved counts", is a service to the world in terms of environmental improvement and is a service to the society to promote a better class of living. Another strong incentive would be to give them the liberty of spending some of the dollars saved for the cause that they choose or for newly created ideas that promote social good. This is a win/win.   Take, for instance, the energy waste that affects every one of our households. Several factors contribute to this waste. Imagine the amount of savings you could affect by being prudent at home. Simple things like:

  • Use a power strip fully to cut off power to all electrical appliances, which are consuming current by simply being in the standby option.
  • Sensible use of the heaters and the air conditioners by connecting a digital thermostat and setting the temperature to the best operating levels (depending upon the season) will pay rich dividends and considerably cut your energy bills.
  • Only using the dishwasher or clothes washer when you have a full load to do.
REFRESH & RENEW The federal government's initiative of the energy star seal to help consumers select energy efficient appliances is a great step towards energy saving and cash accrual. Consider the clothes dryer in your house. If its model is pre, 2000, get rid of it. It is literally costing you more money to operate than it should. Buy the latest equivalent model with the energy star seal. You could, in all probability, make an estimated annual saving of $135 which would easily pay for itself in the next couple years. PAYDAY REWARDS! If you apply the same principle to all the appliances/equipment in your home, do you think that the resulting energy savings would translate into thousands of dollars of cash every year? What can you and your family do with an extra 5 thousand dollars? Whole Home Surge Protectors Keep Your Home SafeIn 5 years time, if you take action now, how much money will you have saved from energy savings? 2 thousand, 5 thousand, 10 thousand? With rising energy rates, that number can easily be much higher than you think. Fight back against rising rates by getting an Electric Saver 1200 installed on your home and your business. It's results are guaranteed. Because your family deserves the best future possible. Does Power Factor Matter on Residential Homes?

(definition) KVAR

Kilovolt-Ampere Reactive

Reactive Power (kVArh) is the difference between working power (active power measured in kW) and total power consumed (apparent power measured in kVA). Some electrical equipment requires an amount of 'reactive power' in addition to 'active power' in order to work more energy efficiently. KVAR is the number at the top of the mathematical problem. The higher the power factor your property has to the number 1, the more efficient the home is. For example, if your business has a .67 power factor rating, you are likely paying more than you have to for energy. But what about home owners? Are they billed for this too? The answer may surprise you. Electricity power bills are constantly rising on a day to day basis thus denting our pockets and wallets in these harsh economic times. Electrical energy has been one of the greatest discoveries of the century and life without electric power in unimaginable. From the use of the vacuum cleaner to clean the house in a matter of minutes to a spick and span standard to the washing machine that washes clothes at the touch of a button. Then there's that lovely dish washer that comes in handy after a heavy delicious meal. The list goes on and on. These are among the many electrical appliances that make our day to day living more comfortable. The sad bit of the above scenario is that they are all powered by electricity. Hence, the good life comes at a cost which continues to impede our comfortable lifestyle. The appliances normally run on 110 volts in the United States or 220-250 volts in other parts of the world. This AC (Alternating Current) Power source flows in a Sine wave to create both magnetic power as well as power itself. When not in use it loses some energy in form of reactive power measured in KVAR (Kilo Volt Ampere Reactive). The KVAR is the power factor that measures how efficient and effective an appliance or gadget is. The higher the power factor number measured in KVAR the more efficient and the lower the power factor (KVAR) the less efficient. These power losses can be controlled and improved by adding power saving gadgets such as the Electric Saver 1200. The biggest culprits of this power reactive loss are the inductive power users i.e. Central Air Conditioning Systems, Heat Pumps, Swimming Pool motors, Refrigeration, fluorescent lighting, as well as motor in heavy machinery like Elevators, Escalators, and power tools.

And there are those reports of Power Factor not making a difference on residential homes at all. Are they true or false?

While it is true that homeowners are not billed power factor penalties or for apparent power, homeowners ARE billed for inefficient appliances and a/c systems that are still in use. Your power company has no way of knowing whether that refrigerator in your beautiful kitchen is from 1972 or 2017. The only way you are billed for your appliances and energy is by your USAGE. energy waste If your appliances and air conditioning system are not running as efficiently as possible, you might as well go out to your back yard and light a couple hundred dollar bills on fire every few months. Because that's what you are giving to your power company by not taking action and making your home or business as energy efficient as possible. If you are ready to just say no to burning $100 bills every few months, click the link below:   Buy KVAR Now Why Else Should I Use A KVAR device?
  • Safeguarding and regulating power surges and spikes during black outs and brown outs. This cost cutting measure protects electrical equipment from getting damaged, deters any fire calamity that might destroy your property or even the loss of life.
  • Efficiency and effectiveness of electrical appliances is improved by less overheating and running cooler, this ensures that they will last longer and give optimal service.
  • Reduced Kilowatt Consumption on the Overall Property, thus saving you from overbilling from energy you weren't able to use.
  • Power Factor Penalty Removed from Energy Bills (for those commercial customers that are billed a penalty)

Why is improving the overall power factor on my property a good idea?

Because now your property is ONLY billed for energy it actually uses and not 1 penny more to the power company! To find out more visit our website today!

Don’t Be Like This Guy… Fred is No Fun!

Once upon a time, there was a guy named Fred.  On the eve of his retirement, he realized that his poor financial planning landed him in quite a pickle.  You see, he just flew through life by the seat of his pants and never thought about his future and how he wanted to live in that future.  He wound up divorced, living in his big sister's basement, broke and utterly and completely defeated.  He did not live happily ever after.  Don't be Fred! Here's some of the common mistakes that we inadvertently make and what YOU can do right now to change that. Have A Plan Alan Lakein said, "Failing to plan is planning to fail." This is precisely what happens with many of us who do not make a financial plan. Remember, your financial plan will work only if it is fault-free. No Action on the Plan Assuming you have a plan, but do not put in efforts to make it work, it is as good as having no plan. Procrastination is your greatest enemy in this. Work around this and make a success of your life. No Emergency Fund Sometimes things crash, sometimes unemployment happens. By understanding that even if you have the best plan, life does not always go according to plan. This should necessitate you to create an emergency fund covering at least 9 months of your living expenses. This should take care of misfortunes like job loss and the like. Saving Money Budget A budget is imperative for financial planning. Unless you can plan where your money should go, you will not be able to plan your expenditure and balance your cash outflows, leading to a catastrophe. Live Within Your Means Many of us are in the habit of spending money beyond our means to give a general impression about our financial health, even when we probably are up to our neck in debt. Be happy with what you have, and live within your means. Know Your Priorities Mortgage interests are cheaper than consumer debt interests are. Therefore, follow the principle that prudence is the better part of valor, pay up your credit/debit card payments first, and cut your interest liability instead of trying to pay off your mortgage fully. How Putting Energy Saving Practices into your home or business, will increase your cash flow or the bottom line. Let us assume that you have planned your finances badly, and at the far end of your career, just before retirement, you are really in a financial mess. One area where you could affect great savings is by initiating energy-saving practices at both home and office. With proper steps, you can increase your cash flow or bottom line. Please see some of the effective steps given below: 1) You could consider installing a power saver device like the Electric Saver 1200, which will considerably increase the efficiency of your electrical equipment in the house, by recycling the wasted wattage arising from the lost efficiency of these products. 2) Programmable thermostats will save you a good amount of money by turning the thermostat 10 to 15 degrees up or down, as necessary, when you are away, and programming it temperature wise and time wise, to re-start to give you a comfortable zone when you return. 3) Replacing your old model power guzzlers like the clothes dryer, air conditioner, heater and washing machine with latest models sporting efficiency stars, is a great way to economize on power consumption, and therefore, your energy bills. For example, replacement of the clothes dryer could get you a power remission valued at over $130 per annum. 4) Having your HVAC systems checked by the competent authorities and effecting corrections based on their advice will surely give you a good annual saving on your power bills.   5) Several other factors like caulking and weather-stripping your doors and windows, using the right capacity of equipment for the right work, using power strips to turn off standby modes in your equipment such as televisions, etc., help to save on your energy bills. These are all steps in the right direction to increase your cash flow or bottom line and make amends for your earlier lapses in proper financial planning. And if you are lucky, you have plenty of time to take action now. Enjoy 20+ years of energy savings and put all that $ into something more important, like say... YOU- not your power company. What’s YOUR Reason for Being Energy Efficient?

Energy efficiency simply means that you can do or power something in the home (or at work), using less power and energy to accomplish a particular task. But, why is that important? By becoming more energy efficient, you can reduce the size of your energy bills. But that's only important because you can help save the planet's resources. But it's also important because you can spend that savings on something you love MORE... like a vacation or a bigger flat screen TV for the game. What's YOUR reason for saving energy? Will you be able to help a loved one? Or do you just want more financial security for your family? But saving energy isn't just for homeowners. In fact, business owners see a MUCH bigger return on investment usually because the cost of utilities is a major expense for most. Improving that bottom line is ALWAYS a big deal and when we can do it by even 10% it's a win/win to invest in energy efficiency. So whether you are a home owner, or own a large facility to operate your business, read on to see how we can assist you! For those who are looking for a simple way to become more energy efficient, using products that are specifically designed for more efficiency, is the easiest way to do so. The method in which the Electric Saver 1200 works is by simply recycling the power used to operate a motor or other electric appliances. When the item is powered off, it will release the power back to the motor when it is needed to operate any device. This otherwise lost energy is not only is going to be used in the place it was not being used in the past, which will help power appliances, and since it is recycled (not new energy being put to use), it is going to dramatically help in cutting your electric bill on a monthly basis. General Electric even tested and proved this! In the home, customers have reported seeing monthly savings ranging anywhere from 10-28% depending on your motor/appliance usage. Pssst.... she told me she's DESPERATE for a date with YOU lol!  If you want to dive further into the rabbit hole and really put more of your hard earned dollars back in your wallet, read on, this post is for you. However achieving your goal of reducing energy consumption & increasing the thickness of your wallet is something more attainable than ever before ;-) The below tips will help get you started...

4 Easy Ways to Conserve Energy & Slash Those Dang Power Bills!

1) Power saving light bulbs - one of the most common ways to conserve energy is using CFL or LED lighting. They last longer, omit the same amount of light, and are low on energy.   2) Insulation - is another incredible way of conserving energy consumption by reducing or increasing the perfect room temperature. By using this, you can keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. This will also save you on electric fans and heaters. These techniques also include insulating your floors, roofs, and filling up small holes and cracks where the air can escape. With the blow in insulation and spray foam, there are many options that you can implement that don't require you to tear apart your ceilings or walls.   3) Window treatments - are not only for home decoration, but also for saving energy. They can reduce and increase heat loss and gain. Windows allow for natural light to pour in, but they also allow heat to come in. By using window treatments such as blinds, shutter, curtains or even window tint, you can dramatically change the temperature in a room that is always too hot. electric saver box 4) The Electric Saver 1200- This Energy Saving product is designed to lower your Electric Bill. Basically it makes the motors in your home more efficient and levels out power spikes that can easily become costly when you need to replace a large appliance or HVAC system. The Electric Saver increases the life span of your electric motors and appliances by helping them run more efficiently. It is easily attached and installed directly to an electric panel or directly to an electric motor in about 20 minutes. If you are sick and tired of rising energy bills and short lived appliances, get your today by clicking the link below... But, what are other ways to save energy in your home? Read on for even more great tips to slash those power bills in HALF! Save Energy Now   save-energy-handyman Common Mistakes With Energy Conservation Most people commit mistakes when it comes to energy conservation. Most do this unknowingly. Be sure to apply the proper techniques above, but don't then leave all your electric appliances & lighting on. This would mean that although you have just made a difference, you just changed your usage habits and lost all your gains. So if you do make improvements, be sure that you capture those losses by not changing your habits. Keep track of your energy usage from last year over this year (or last month over this month). Without knowing where you were, it is difficult to see if you are improving or not. Make sure you can compare what is really making an impact on your energy bills so that you can do something to handle the issue. Be sure to keep in mind the changes in weather. In Florida, it is very common for someone's power bill to go from $200 to $300 the very next month when the weather starts heating up. If you recently installed something that should be lowering your power bill and it goes up, be sure to consider the weather as a possible factor if you do see a higher bill. Some have installed power saving devices and then the next month, the power bill went from $2 Green city 00 to $250 so they immediately think the product didn't save them anything. However, upon further inspection, the bill would've been closer to $300 (if the power saving device hadn't been installed initially) so they actually saved $50 the first month. So be sure to think with the weather and have a start point to compare to. I recommend comparing year over year as the weather is usually pretty similar from last year's August to this year's August.
